Pebble Shore required structural correction. Architect Guy Hollaway centred the vision on replacing a 1970s sunroom with a double-height extension.

The mandate: Maximise coastal vista. Maximum glass, minimum frame. System performance demanded coastal exposure resilience and zero sightline delivery.

A modern bedroom with neutral tones featuring a freestanding white bathtub on a raised platform next to a large window with a view of the ocean and a wooden hot tub on a deck. A king-size bed with beige linens is also visible.

Architectural Vision Systems supplied the 20mm Sightline Sliding Door System. System selection ensured that the frame was embedded into the structure.

Our team collaborated with the build crew to meet two design requirements:

  • Installed double-height sliding doors in the main living space and ground-floor gym, creating terrace openings.
  • Engineered doors that from the seafront appear as floor-to-ceiling glazing. The installation required no visible overhead bulkhead. This detail achieves a transition between the glass, wall, and ceiling.

Flow between the interiors and seafront, aided by recessed tracks, unifies the living space. Sea and sky enter the home. Pebble Shore proves minimalist design. AVS systems deliver.
