Noke House is a striking example of architectural innovation, demonstrating our expertise in designing optimal fenestration solutions to craft breathtaking, light-filled spaces. This project seamlessly merges a contemporary extension with the existing traditional stone structure, yielding a harmonious living space that feels both rooted and forward-thinking.

Our Vision Plus system is central to this transformation. The expansive sliding glass doors are precisely aligned with the project’s focus on transparency, natural light, and indoor/outdoor integration. Which not only provide unobstructed views but also guarantee energy efficiency, durability, and security. The frameless design maximizes the glazed area, blurring the lines between the interior and the surrounding landscape.

A medium-shot, eye-level photograph of a modern dining room interior. The room features large, black-framed glass sliding doors that span the entire wall, offering a view of a landscaped backyard with a green lawn, a raised garden bed with a stone wall, and trees. The dining area includes a wooden table with chairs, a striped armchair, and a sideboard. The most prominent feature is the ceiling, constructed with a grid of light-colored wooden slats, creating a coffered effect, with square skylights interspersed throughout the grid. The floor is made of wide, light-colored wooden planks.

This contemporary build accentuates the significance of meticulous glazing specification. The Vision Plus system, chosen for its mere 25mm sightline, triple glazing, and a U-Value of 0.9 (W/m²K), maximizes light while serving both functional and aesthetic goals, the slimline design and thermal efficiency ensured the house’s energy performance while enhancing its sleek, modern aesthetic, clearly visible in the clean, minimalist lines of the extension.

The distinctive timber frame ceiling plays a crucial role, epitomizing a perfect blend of modern architectural design and traditional materials. By uniting expansive glass panels with the natural warmth of wood, it creates an atmosphere that feels both contemporary and enduring, effectively linking the interior spaces to the site’s landscape and history.

The incorporation of these advanced glazing systems has not only bolstered Noke House’s overall sustainability but also elevated its design, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of energy efficiency and environmental stewardship, all while maintaining a strong connection to the natural setting.

The extension is attached to a traditional stone house with a slate roof and multiple chimneys. A paved patio surrounds the extension, and a well-maintained green lawn is in the foreground. The sky is overcast with white clouds.
